Election Night
PAUL FLORY and GARY OUELLET
Based upon an idea by Paul Flory.
The magician brings out a balloon, in which can be seen a folded piece of paper - the magicians' "poll results" An experiment is proposed to check out how good a pollster he might be.
There are, explains the magician, two political parties vying for your vote. Two spectators are selected to act as official agent for each party. They are, of course, decorated with appropriate political stickers. A third spectator is selected to act as Chief Returning Officer, to supervise the vote.
The magician introduces a deck of ballots, suitably imprinted with the logos of each of the two parties.
The Returning Officer shuffles and distributes the cards randomly, then counts the results.
Lets say Party #1 wins by 3 votes - the officer bursts the balloon and reads out the prediction - Party #1 wins by 3!
There is no sleight-of-hand involved, and the method is very clever. And of course, what with the political premise, there is a great deal of room for topical comedy, tailored either to a local or national level.
We had the ballots printed by a playing card manufacturer and the stickers manufactured by a political supply house, so everything looks legit! Comes with a supply of balloons and instruction booklet, with Gary Ouellet's complete presentation!
Note:
If you plan to give away the PARTY Show Sticker to your audience assistants, we offer additional Jumbo Stickers for this product and they come without any instructions see our item AC-013. Election Night Stickers |
